Please mark your calendar for the Second Annual Strait from the Artists Studio Tour to join us for a celebration and sale of precious art by local artists working in cooperation on the Olympic Peninsula on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Strait from the Artists Studio Tour is a self-guided, free and open to the public, tour of multiple artist studios and exhibition spaces from along the inspiring Strait of Juan de Fuca, which includes the Sequim and Port Angeles Cultural Corridors on the Second Weekend of November. Attendees can visit, view, and learn directly from the artists about their diverse creative processes and the imaginative community-minded efforts of their work.

Strait from the Artists Studio Tour is committed to the business of art and how creative enterprise is a respectable pursuit that empowers individuals, validates collaboration, and engages whole communities together.

Explore and support artists from Port Angeles, Sequim, and Gardiner. Learn about the 16 artists and details of the 9 studio locations will be at the website straitfromtheartists.com with maps to guide you. Discover art in many forms including mixed media sculptures and assemblages, painting, fiber arts, ceramics, photography, paper art, leathercraft, glass art, pastels, sea glass jewelry, gourds, and upcycle art.

Strait from the Artists Studio Tour is organized by local, Olympic Peninsula art businesses, arts advocates, and educators dedicated to encouraging education, positive professionalism, and creating inclusive and innovative opportunities. Creating cultural vitality is financially sound for a population and improves the quality of life in a community. The Olympic Peninsula is invited to participate in this Second Weekend in November artful adventure takes place region wide, encompassing and featuring multiple studios and artists.

Applications to partake in opening your studio on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12, 2023, or by joining with a few other artists at a collective venue is available online at https://straitfromtheartists.com/apply/ The deadline for applying is July 30, 2023 which includes an Artist’s $40 registration fee.
