Trish Cole’s work invites viewers to pause, feel, and reflect. Through layered mixed media, bold color, texture, and symbolism, her paintings explore the deeply human spaces between beauty and unrest, vulnerability and resilience, loss and transformation.

Rooted in a lifelong connection to nature and the emotional landscapes of lived experience, Trish creates work that is both personal and universal. Her pieces often emerge from questions rather than conclusions—offering visual conversations about identity, memory, grief, strength, and the fragile relationship between humanity and the natural world.

Some works carry quiet serenity; others challenge the viewer more directly. Pieces such as Not My Body and Gone Forever touch on themes of personal autonomy, impermanence, and impacts to nature—subjects that may feel controversial to some, yet are approached with honesty, compassion, and humanity. Rather than provoking for shock, Trish’s work seeks to create connection of shared emotion, inner conflict, and the complexity of being alive.

Texture plays an important role throughout the collection. Handmade papers, layered acrylics, metallic elements, and organic movement create surfaces that shift with light and perspective, rewarding viewers who spend time with the work. Many paintings feel both abstract and deeply familiar—like fragments of memory, emotion, or dreams suspended in color.

As both an artist and storyteller, Trish approaches art as an act of exploration. Her work does not demand interpretation so much as invitation: to slow down, to notice, and perhaps to discover a reflection of one’s own experience within the layers.

This experience offers a journey through beauty, tension, wonder, and introspection, an opportunity not simply to observe art, but to encounter it.
